Konrad Ettinger hands over responsibility to Mathias Moritz

At the turn of the year, ABEL Mobilfunk will be making significant changes to its HR department. As part of a strategic succession plan, Konrad Ettinger, Head of Human Resources for many years, is handing over responsibility to Mathias Moritz. At the same time, the HR department and HR management will be merged under the new name ‘Human Resources’.

Helping to build up the ABEL Group

Konrad Ettinger, a permanent fixture at ABEL, can look back on many years of service. Since the company was founded in 2004, he has been the sole accountant at ABEL Mobilfunk and later, as Head of Financial Accounting/Personnel and authorised signatory, played a decisive role in building up the group and establishing the HR department. With almost 45 years of professional experience and a team of now 14 colleagues under his leadership, he has significantly shaped the corporate culture at ABEL. In view of the steady growth of the ABEL companies, it was decided together with the management to split the management of the HR and accounting departments. From 2025, Konrad Ettinger will therefore concentrate on the areas of ‘Accounting and Financial Statements’ and continue to manage the Accounting department.

Mathias Moritz takes over the ‘Human Resources’ department

From 1 January 2025, Mathias Moritz will take over responsibility for the ‘Human Resources’ department. The man from Töging has been with ABEL Mobilfunk since 2019. With his previous responsibility for HR management and recruiting, he has quickly proven himself in the management team. The trained industrial clerk already worked in recruiting for a large corporation while studying sociology at LMU Munich and then worked as a personnel consultant in the state capital before finding his professional home at ABEL. Mathias recently deepened his knowledge by training as a certified HR specialist (IHK) - a decision that was fully supported by the management.

At the official handover, he thanked Konrad Ettinger and Markus Abel, as representatives of the management, for the trust they had placed in him and emphasised the company's continuous support: ‘ABEL has supported and advanced me enormously in my professional and personal development by promoting my further training, but also by providing very individual support over the last few years. I would like to thank Konrad and the management for their trust and look forward to the new tasks and working even more closely with an excellent team.’ Konrad Ettinger is delighted with his successor's commitment and wishes Mathias every success in his new challenges: ‘I am convinced that Mathias will successfully develop the HR department together with the great team.’ At the same time as the official handover, Managing Director Markus Abel and Konrad Ettinger congratulated Mathias on successfully completing his further training as a certified HR specialist (IHK): ‘With this step, ABEL Mobilfunk is positioning itself even more strongly in organisational terms and is relying on proven expertise paired with fresh vigour.’
