Training 2025: Start for career starters

ABEL Gruppe Ausbildungsstart 2025

A fresh start into the future at the ABEL Group

On 1 September, it was that time again: the managers at the ABEL Group warmly welcomed nine new recruits to the team. This means that the training team, which now numbers 35, continues to grow. The trainees are starting in a variety of fields – from technical training as electronics technicians or information electronics technicians to warehouse logistics specialists, IT specialists and office management assistants. ‘We wish our trainees a successful start to their professional lives and look forward to working with them,’ emphasises Sebastian Spiel, training manager for our technical training professions.

Joint orientation days at the Farnbichlalm

To ensure a successful start to training, the ABEL Group organises two-day orientation days every year. The aim is to familiarise new team members with the corporate culture and strengthen team spirit. The second-year trainees are always on hand to provide support during the induction process.

This year, the programme began with an exciting tour of the Töging am Inn hydroelectric power plant. The trainees gained insights into how a hydroelectric power plant works and were able to experience the technologies used to generate sustainable electricity for the grid on a daily basis.

Afterwards, they went to the company's own training and recreation centre, Farnbichlalm, near Inzell. There, the focus was on teamwork and creativity: in addition to practical team tasks, they were also given a short training course on internal processes and company programmes. On the second day, the trainees demonstrated their skills by building a raft and mastering the challenges together.

There was also plenty of time for socialising: a barbecue evening, board games and lots of good cheer ensured a successful get-together. This gave the young professionals not only the opportunity to get to know their colleagues better, but also to experience the corporate culture of the ABEL Group first-hand – the best conditions for a successful start to their professional lives.
