1000 € donation to the BRK Eggenfelden rescue team
For many years, the BRK (Bavarian Red Cross) Eggenfelden emergency medical service has provided voluntary medical cover for major events in and around Eggenfelden. The dedicated members reliably stand ready in their free time to ensure the safety and health of visitors.
For these important missions, the BRK Eggenfelden emergency medical service uses a medical container as a mobile first-aid station. Here, visitors are treated quickly and professionally in the event of medical emergencies. However, the previous container has already been in use for 35 years and is getting on in years. It no longer meets the current requirements for a modern, safe and efficient working environment. The aim is to purchase a new, modern medical container by the 2025 event year. This will not only improve the working conditions for the volunteers, but also optimize patient care. As the funds made available are not sufficient, the BRK Eggenfelden emergency medical service has to raise its own funds and has launched a fundraising campaign for this purpose.
The ABEL Group has now stepped forward as a generous supporter. The company ABEL from Engelsberg has been supporting selected social causes for years. The family-run company donated €1,000 to the BRK rescue team for the new acquisition. “When the appeal reached us, we were quickly able to give the head of the rescue team, Lukas Knepper, the good news,” reported Konrad Ettinger, Head of Financial Accounting and authorized signatory at ABEL Mobilfunk. “As a successful medium-sized company, we want to create added value for charitable projects in the form of donations and fulfill our social responsibility,” added Ettinger at the donation ceremony. “Many of our colleagues come from the district of Rottal-Inn, so we feel obliged to help here too.” At the handover, the BRK thanked Konrad Ettinger for the generous donation. Ettinger, on the other hand, highlighted the voluntary work and emphasized the importance of the commitment of the BRK Eggenfelden rescue team.
